(19:02:29) powerman: btw… yesterday I noticed strange network behaviour in inferno:
(19:03:39) powerman: there limbo app which listen on tcp port, for each accepted it spawn thread which read from clients "\n", echo it back and close connection
(19:05:40) powerman: i.e. trivial echo server. when i'm trying to connect to this limbo tcp server from perl client (using non-blocking i/o, epoll, and 256 simultaneous connections), I notice about 150 connections complete successfully immediately, then there about 2.8 sec delay, and then all other connections also complete successfully immediately

(19:07:46) powerman: first idea was to check backlog constant in listen(2), but I've already convince Charles to increase it to 256 some time ago, and quick experiment show this time it doesn't because of too small backlog
