(17:32:06) mjl-: sl: i see it too (17:32:11) mjl-: does charon crash too? (17:32:16) mjl-: [Gui] Broken: "EXFatal: can't initialize windows: allocimage: Interrupted system call" (17:32:19) mjl-: that's what i'm seeing (17:52:57) sl: mjl-: i did not have time to investigate but i'll check it out today and report back (17:55:02) sl: mjl-: i didn't see any error messages (where would that information accumulate?), but the charon window goes solid gray and never changes regardless of input. i was able to kill the window. (17:55:25) sl: (in qwm, not the whole inferno session) (17:55:59) mjl-: you would see the "broken" message in the console where you started emu (17:56:18) sl: ah, i launch emu with a script, from dmenu (17:56:28) mjl-: ahh.. then the output might just vanish :) (17:56:28) sl: i'll capture console output this time (17:58:52) sl: [Gui] Broken: "EXFatal: can't initialize windows: allocimage: Resource temporarily unavailable" (17:59:11) sl: it only happens if i completely cover up charon (17:59:41) sl: so long as part of charon is still visible everything proceeds as normal and i can switch between windows as normal (18:00:17) sl: i can cover up an sh window and bring it back with no problems (18:00:58) mjl-: perhaps it's a divide by zero because of zero height (18:01:03) sl: hm, i said something wrong, i can't kill the charon window (18:01:27) sl: clicking x has no effect (18:02:21) sl: even after killing Charon and CharonUtils from sh (18:14:59) robot12 left the room. (02:43:06) base2design: Don't know if this helps, but often when I see the "Resource temporarily unavailable", it's due to a file descriptor being put into non-blocking mode and read()'s are simply saying "no data is waiting for you to read"? (02:43:26) base2design: I haven't looked at the underlying code, but that's where I'd start if I did. (02:44:06) base2design: How are X11 events being read? I'm guessing it's a unix domain socket?
