(00:58:24) swiley: Does anyone have inferno Linux-arm binarys? (00:58:47) utroz [~utroz@200.162.81.194] entered the room. (01:18:51) leetspete: swiley: I have some, but they segfault. emu and gdb seem to fight a lot over control of the terminal, so I haven't debugged. I can upload somewhere if you like. (01:19:05) leetspete: The segfault is around (at least) getauthinfo. (01:33:07) swiley: leetspete: that'd be great! (if you don't mind) (02:53:08) leetspete: swiley: rsync is taking an unholy amount of time. I'd just use cp from Inferno, but getauthinfo segfaults. :P (02:54:22) ***leetspete suspects wifi and high temperatures in the house to be the culprits. I now think it's the ARM machine's wifi chip. It should be another ~22 minutes. (04:16:23) eno left the room (quit: Ping timeout: 260 seconds). (05:44:26) swiley: yay! thanks leetspete! :) (05:46:36) leetspete: :) No problem! Sorry it's an at least partially bad build, and hopefully it actually works for you. (05:51:05) leetspete: What hardware do you have for ARM stuff? (05:51:42) swiley: A kindle :) I thought I'd give inferno a shot on it (05:52:28) swiley: I also have a raspberry pi (finnally shipped!!!) which I will play with more as soon as I can get somehwere to download the image (05:54:42) leetspete: swiley: Cool. I mean, if it runs on the Kindle, *seriously* cool. I'm using Efika MXs for right now. (06:02:07) swiley: yeah I thought it would make a pretty neat terminal :) the efika looks rather neat btw (06:04:51) leetspete: I love the things so far. I have a "desktop" and a notebook. I hate the mouse device, but everything else is great. (06:17:23) swiley: very cool! I'm trying to move into something like that (slowly) (07:42:52) swiley left the room (quit: Ping timeout: 244 seconds). (09:14:48) Fish- left the room (quit: Quit: WeeChat 0.3.7). (17:45:43) swiley: is there a way to tell emu to use the framebuffer from the command line or do you have to re-build it to do that? (18:23:55) anth_x left the room (quit: Quit: Leaving.). (20:05:00) leetspete: swiley: You have to patch and build emu-fb for that. Also, depending on the hardware, you have to do some manual tweaking (specifying which devices to use as the keyboard and mouse). (20:05:25) leetspete: Unfortunately, the patch doesn't apply cleanly right now, because some OS things moved. (20:07:02) leetspete: I wonder if, instead of doing the Linux framebuffer, an SDL port might be better. I don't think anyone's done that, so maybe there's a good reason not to?
