(15:21:40) powerman: Yeah, I'm going to agree with this. Perl's JSON::XS faster than everything else I benchmarked, including protobuf (also XS - C wrapper for perl around C++ classes generated by original protobuf implementation) and msgpack. It's also faster than simple binary length-value format (which is very limited comparing to json and allow only storing only string-to-string map/hash) implemented using perl's native (and very fast AFAIK) pack("(n/a*)*",%data). (20:26:55) mjl-: but faster than simple binary format (20:26:59) mjl-: that is quite impressive (20:27:24) mjl-: btw guys, i've updated qwm quite a bit (20:27:31) mjl-: it is more acme-like now (20:28:22) mjl-: i've got it set up with wm/run as shell thing, with a plumber that starts vixen's for text files (20:28:45) mjl-: quite convenient for editing files (except that vixen isn't good enough yet) (20:29:59) mjl-: anyway, if anyone is going to test, you probably a decent plumber setup, and might be interested in my the trivial branches "titlebar-maxfull" (for b2 & b3 on titlebar) and "screennofill" (to avoid window flashes and black column backgrounds), from my mechiel-inferno-os clone (20:30:11) mjl-: probably want* (20:31:28) Fish- [~Fish@9fans.fr] entered the room.
