(23:07:11) sirjofri: the android app builds on this java engine. it runs as a "native" android app.
(23:07:27) sirjofri: but it's not like inferno runs directly on the phone hardware
(23:07:32) qweo: Yep, Dis and fiends instead of Dalvik or (now) Oracle JVM
(23:09:20) sirjofri: it would be interesting to run inferno on linux with process id 0. something like: linux kernel with drivers etc and only inferno
(23:11:47) qweo: A proper HAL that will enable to externalise the drivers would be especially neat. Dragging the whole of Linux feels like an overkill.

(23:17:42) qweo: Linux nowadays is a monster. A powerful monster, but rather all-devouring IMHO
(23:18:31) sirjofri: this is why I try to understand inferno. a small system, compatible with itself (which is what you can't say about linux)
